Return to fulltime education/training opportunities for unemployed adults. Participants must be over 21 years of age and in receipt of a social welfare payment for 6 months. Participation on VTOS programmes is free.
BTEI Courses
Part-time education programmes for adults and young people. General Education (1 or 2 year) Communications, Numeracy, Computer Literacy Cookery, Personal Effectiveness, Study Skills, Career Orientation. FETAC Levels 3 & 4
BTEA Scheme
The Back to Education Allowance Scheme allows eligible applicants to return to fulltime education on 2nd and 3rd level programmes. People qualify in different ways, depending on their age and personal situation.
- Post Leaving Certificate Programmes (1 or 2 year) BTEA applicants must be aged 21 years and over. FETAC Levels 5 & 6 - Adult Leaving Certificate (1 or 2 year programme) All applicants must be aged 18 years and over.
