Students will develop their talents in a wide range of visual and artistic skills. Students will prepare a portfolio of work so that they may proceed to further study at Third level.
Drawing, Photography, Computer Graphics, Life Drawing, Painting, Printmaking, Sculpture, History and Appreciation of Art and Design, Communications, Work Experience.

Students will have the skills necessary for direct employment in the Art & Design Industry. Those who are both interested and suitably qualified will have the opportunity to proceed to further study at Colaiste Ide or a Third Level College. Past students have secured places in a range of art colleges such as NCAD, DIT, IADT, the University of Ulster and a variety of IT Colleges throughout the country.
Entry to some Third Level Colleges is still determined in part by results gained in the Leaving Certificate.
An annual exhibition is held by the School of Art & Fashion in renowned locations like The Chester Beatty Library and Kennedy's Art Gallery.
