This course offers the student the opportunity to explore and develop skills in many aspects of Design. It provides a solid foundation year for further studies.

Entry Requirements

• Leaving Certificate 5 passes or
  Leaving Certificate Applied or
  Leaving Certificate Vocational Programme
• Personal interview
• Samples of student work
  

Course Content

Drawing, Painting, Design, Communications, Graphic Design, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Quark Xpress, Photography (Black & White and/or digital), Printmaking, Work Experience and Appreciation of Art, Craft & Design.

Certificate in Graphic Design (AGDXX)

Career Opportunities

Further Study in Third Level or employment.

PLEASE NOTE:

Entry to some Third Level Colleges is still determined in part by results gained in the Leaving Certificate.

An annual exhibition is held by the School of Art and Fashion in renowned locations like The Chester Beatty Library and Kennedy's Art Gallery.
