Aims

Students will gain an understanding of the design process in the building environment. They will be able to operate an AutoCAD system found in most modern design offices. They will be familiar with the latest computer hardware and software available within the Industry.

Entry Requirements

Course Content

Year 1
Computer Aided Draughting using AutoCAD (2D), Design Skills, Architectural Drawing, Building Construction, Structural Mechanics, Mathematics, Spreadsheet Methods, Safepass, Communications and Work Experience.

Year 2
Computer Aided Draughting (3D), Architectural Drawing and Presentation, Computer Aided Design (3D), Building Technology and Design, Web Authoring and Renewable Energy Systems
