Aims

Students will gain an understanding of the design process in the building environment. They will be able to operate a CAD system found in most modern design offices. They will be familiar with the latest computer hardware and software available within the Industry.

Year 1
Architectural Drawing, Computer Aided Drawing and Design using AutoCAD, Construction Studies, Mathematics, Geosurveying, Structural Mechanics, Web Authoring, Spreadsheet Methods, Communications, Work Experience, Safety, Health and Welfare at Work, including Safe Pass, Electronics and Electrical Technology.

Year 2
Architectural Drawing, 3 Dimensional Computer Aided Drawing and Design using AutoCAD, Construction Studies, Geosurveying, Computer Programming, Work Experience.

City & Guilds of London - 4351-03 C&G (3D) (Three Dimensional Design using Auto-CAD)

Career Opportunities

Students will be equipped with the necessary skills for employment as Architectural Technicians and can proceed to Third Level.
