Aims

This course offers students the opportunity to explore and develop their skills in many aspects of Interior Design. The student will be introduced to conceptual design, presentations using drawings, Computer Aided Design & Photography.

Entry Requirements

• Leaving Certificate 5 passes or
• Leaving Certificate Applied or
• Leaving Certificate Vocational Programme
• A personal interview
• Samples of students work (this maybe anything the student feels demonstrates their interest in Interior Design).

Course Content

Design, Architectural Drawing, Materials and Finishes, Computer Aided Design, Colour and Light, Marketing Practice, Photography, Communications and Work Experience.

FETAC Level 5 - Interior Design - AIDXX

Career Opportunities

Students who successfully complete this course will have the qualifications/skills necessary to take up employment in window design/ display, interiorscaping and further studies.
