Aims

This is a one year full-time course (second year is optional). The course is designed for those who wish to pursue a career in the Travel and Tourism Industry. Students will also gain a broad understanding of Travel Agency and Airline Operations. This course is run under the auspices of the Irish Travel Agents Association. This course also includes a three week transnational exchange to a European Country. Funded by Leargas.

Entry Requirements

• Leaving Certificate ordinary 5 passes or Vocational level with maths at ordinary level.
• A personal interview.

Airline industry, Cabin Crew, Cruise and Ferry companies, Car Rental companies, Travel Agents, Tourist Offices and Hotels. Progression routes IATA/UFTAA Consultant Diploma, Hotel Reception Operations Level 6. (Air Fares and Ticketing (IATA/UFTAA), Galileo computerised reservation system, Travel Practice, Tourism Awareness, Customer Service, Communications, Work Experience, Travel Agency Skills, Airline Studies, Tourism and Travel Services, General Travel Knowledge and World Geography, Retail Selling and Transnational Experience.
