Applicants should note the following:
- that places are allocated on a first come first served basis and following upon a successful interview.
- Places offered are subject to the applicants meeting all of the entry requirements to the particular course of their choice,
- As places on any one course are limited every effort will be made to accommodate the applicant on the course of choice but a candidate may be offered a place on their second or subsequent choice indicated on their application
- Colaiste Ide does not make a charge for tuition but does collect (at registration ) all examination and material charges that are used on the students behalf or which become the property of the student
- In the event of there being more applicants than places on particular courses priority ,will,. initially be given to applicants resident in Finglas or the greater Finglas area, subject to all entry criteria for that course being met
- Where there are more applicants than places available a waiting list will be established and places offered solely from that waiting list.
- Applicants may be eligible to receive a maintenance grant for the period of their attendance at the college. This grant is means tested and applications for the PLC Grant must be made to the VEC in which the applicant resides. Eligibility for such grants is not determined by the college but by the local VEC.
- PLC Grants are a maintenance grant paid directly to eligible students and do not cover materials or examination costs incurred by students
- VTOS students continue to receive their benefits paid through CDVEC but are not entitled to receive the PLC Grant in addition to their benefits.
