Office Administration with Banking and Insurance Studies

Improve your prospects for career opportunities in Office Administration, Banking and Insurance with this VTOS QQI level 5 qualification. Avail of the opportunities to train for posts in customer service, as insurance sales agents, bank cashiers and other clerical, reception or admin roles.

Forecasts have shown that the Banking and Insurance sectors will be among the first to reap the rewards of the recovery in the Irish economy with employment opportunities increasingly available.

A QQI level 5 qualification is required for all above job areas. Students on this programme are assisted with work experience placements.

Career opportunities and progression:

Students when finished from the programme may apply for positions in Administration, Customer Service, Secretarial and Receptionist roles in: Solicitors Offices, Medical Practices/Hospitals, Schools, Insurance and Banking Institutions, Local Authorities, Civil Service and general offices in both Private and Public sectors.

On successful completion of the course students can apply to Universities, Institutes of Technology and University Access Programmes to study at degree level. 

VTOS Programme:

This is a VTOS programme open to unemployed adults who are receiving a Social Protection payment. To qualify for this programme, you must be receiving a Social Protection payment for at least 6 months and be over 21 years of age.
