Learners can build a strong future in business with this excellent college and career-focused programme. This long established programme has been designed to provide a broad foundation in modern business practices, combining essential business knowledge with maths and taxation if chosen. Learners develop expertise in key areas such as Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, Spreadsheet Methods, Communications, and Business Law.
One of the special features of this programme is the option for the learner to choose Maths for those courses where maths is essential to meet the requirements for progression to Accounting Technician Apprenticeship programmes or other Business qualifications where Maths is a requirement. The Maths module is accepted in many universities in lieu of Leaving Cert Maths.
The programme also provides progression routes to Further and Higher Education using establish CAO progression routes.

Entry Requirements
In general you need to have a minimum of 5 passes at ordinary level in the Leaving Certificate (subjects must include English, and Mathematics or Accountancy) or its equivalent. Applications are welcome from students with Leaving Certificate Vocational, Leaving Certificate Applied or FETAC Level 4 qualifications. Exceptions can be made where special circumstances apply on a case by case basis. The Leaving Certificate is not a requirement for mature students and appropriate experience can be considered as meeting the entry requirement for most courses.
We also welcome applications from mature students on all our courses.
What Will I Study?
A full QQI Level 5 Award is attained on successful completion of eight modules. This must include all mandatory module listed for the programme. You will be assessed throughout the programme by a combination of continuous assessment, assignments and by exams in certain modules. On successful completion of each module, you will be awarded a Pass, Merit or Distinction.

Students acquire a general qualification in business, which offers employment opportunities in diverse areas such as, finance, retail, marketing and human resources. Suitably qualified students may progress to study business at Technological Universities, including NCI or TUD.
