Course Information
The aim of this course is to equip the learner with the knowledge, skills and competence required to provide safe, effective and professional care in a variety of healthcare settings. The programme supports employed healthcare workers who wish to upskill and enhance their career opportunities.
This course will cover the following topics:
- Principles of safe and effective care practice.
- Communication and interpersonal skills in healthcare.
- Promoting independence and dignity in care settings.
- Assisting with personal care needs.
- Health, safety and infection prevention procedures.
- Professional responsibilities and teamwork in healthcare environments.
