Pre Uni Science TUD trip
Students from FET College Íde Finglas’s Pre-University Science course attended TUD’s College of Sciences and Health Further Education Open Day.
Over 140 students from various further education institutes attended the day, the goal of which was to promote to students the significant variety of courses available in the city centre university.
TUD were looking to target further education students due to their superior retention and commitment to university studies. Last year six FET College Íde Finglas students successfully applied to TUD through the QQI route.
The Open Day itself featured an informative talk on the current and new courses on offer, testimonials from former and current students and a profile of the stunning new Grangegorman campus. Following this students were brought to the Biology, Chemistry and Physics for a series of demonstrations illustrating the type of opportunities available in TUD. All our students found the day highly educational.
