Salon 47
The highly successful Salon 47, run by Colaiste Ide’s Beauty students, runs for just two more weeks. Those interested in being pampered are advised to book early! Open Mondays and Wednesdays, Salon 47, created and run by the Beauty class, has been operational since January, offering full facial treatments, using the exclusive Dermalogica range of beauty products.
The students are charged with running the operation like a professional salon. They take bookings from potential clients, who can expect as part of their individual consultation a skin-type analysis, and tailor-made treatment, including eyelash tint and eyebrow trim. Additionally, all beauty consultations include the use of luxurious Dermalogica products, in which our beauticians are trained.
The salon is run twice weekly (until the end March), with the cost of a full consultation and generous treatment package a very reasonable €15.
The Beauty students will be busy giving back to the community throughout the month of March. For International Women’s Day, the students decamped to the nearby Finglas Centre where they provided complimentary manicures to a number of lucky patrons. Additionally, the Beauty students are very pleased to be able to invite a number of clients from the Central Remedial Clinic to visit Colaiste Ide at the end of March, where they will be treated to a range of holistic therapies, sensitive to their condition and health needs.
